1) Hurricane Mills, Tennessee, home to Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, and the nearby town of Waverly, were devastated on Saturday by flash flooding. The floods were caused by a massive rainstorm that dropped nearly 15 inches of rain in 24 hours, catching the entire community off guard.

according to a Facebook post from a "heartbroken" Lynn.
"There are no words at the ranch today...only tears. Our ranch family is our family. We lost my amazing ranch foreman, Wayne in this devastating flood. He took such good care of things here on the ranch for us. He's one of us and the whole Lynn family Is heartbroken.
Please pray for his precious family and friends," the post began.

Wayne Spears did not survive being swept up in the flood waters," the post continued. "Wayne has been a family friend to the Lynns and a fixture to the Ranch for decades and we are all devastated by his passing."
Spears was one of at least 21 people in Tennessee who died in the flooding as of Sunday. More are missing.

Flooding in Humphreys County, home to Lynn’s ranch, has killed 22 people and left dozens more missing, WSMV reported. More than 12 inches of rain fell on parts of middle Tennessee on Saturday, causing catastrophic flooding.
“It’s devastating!” Jon Cody Finger said in an aerial video he shared of the ranch on Facebook. ”So many homes, pets and peoples lives lost today. It’s hard to describe. The entire county is destroyed by this water. People are missing and we will pick back up tomorrow to do everything we can.”
